There is a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit in our church this year. God has given us a new sense of urgency to seek after His presence, and to move out in His power. Pastor Phil declared at the start of the new year that we would experience “something new in twenty-one-two.” And so far 2012 has not failed to live up to that.
We are receiving God’s guidance and direction and are moving out in some exciting new things. Here just a few of the ways we as a church have responded to God in some exciting new ways.

2012 highlights

Prayer Services

On February 22nd, Wednesdays night services were transformed into a weekly prayer meeting. The entire church now comes together each week to call on the Name of the Lord, and to intercede for the ministry and for our community.

Haiti Mission Trip

In March, we began a new relationship with the country of Haiti. Taking a team of mostly high school and college students, Living Faith served a series of orphanages with facility rebuilding and medial assistance in some of the heaviest-damaged areas from the 2010 earthquake.

Africa Missions Tour

God opened up doors for us in a major way on the continent of Africa. With the help of several strategic connections, our team conducted a month-long tour of three nations, meeting with leaders and paving the way for future trips. In Malawi, a new ministry to support the pastors of the rural agricultural areas of the north was begun in earnest.

Vacation Bible School

In July, we held our first annual Vacation Bible School. Nearly 100 children from the community participated in a week of Bible stories, songs about God, and activities designed to help them grow closer to Jesus. It was a smashing success, and helped us develop many new connections with families and parents around the region.
