I came to the University of Idaho to begin my commissioning program with the U.S. Air Force in 1997. The many connections I made at LFF were more than just casual – they were life-changing connections where I was poured into, mentored, and in short, it was the first time in my life I ever felt true acceptance. For that, I’m forever grateful to all those that touched my life in some way. Today, my family and I live in Helena, Montana and I continue my career working for the Montana Veterans Health Care System. The word I heard from God back at my first Big Weekend at Camp Grizzly in September 1997 still reigns true today: ‘To be a leader, you must serve.’ I didn’t realize how those words would stay with me all these years, but God’s word is eternal!
